Let’s talk about it.
the Other clinic offers employer-funded counselling and psychotherapy arrangements for organisations that want to provide staff with access to confidential clinical support.
This service is designed for employers who want a clear and professional pathway into therapy, without creating an internal counselling service or receiving private clinical information about employees.
Employees access sessions directly with qualified and experienced psychotherapists practising at the Other clinic. Each therapist is trained to at least masters level, and has at least five years relevant experience.
The arrangement is usually structured around short-term therapy pathways, with employees able to attend a defined number of sessions funded by their employer. Where further therapy is requested after the funded sessions have been used, the employee may discuss continuing privately with their therapist.
Get in TouchThis arrangement may suit small, medium or large sized companies, professional firms, schools, healthcare organisations, charities and other workplaces that want to offer staff access to private psychotherapy without committing to a large corporate EAP platform.
The service is clinically focused, and is suitable for both personal and professionall issues.
It does not replace occupational health assessment or HR advice. For the integrity of the work, it’s crucial that all session information is fully private. It is intended to provide employees with access to confidential counselling and psychotherapy through an established Dublin clinic.
Get in TouchEmployers purchase a prepaid block of counselling and psychotherapy sessions for staff. Packages begins at 18, and step up in intervals of six.
Intervals of six make it easier for organisations to estimate how many employees the arrangement may support over the year, as six is usually the maximum number of sessions a single employee can benefit from.
Employees contact the clinic directly and are offered suitable appointment options, subject to therapist availability.
As the number of remaining sessions in a package approaches depletion, the clinic will notify the company. At any point the company can request the number of remaining sessions in their package.
Get in TouchEAP counselling and psychotherapy packages are tailored to the needs of each organisation.
Employers can contact the Other clinic to discuss the number of employees they wish to support, the preferred structure of the package, and how staff can access the service confidentially.

Singular Treatment
EAP counselling is a way for employers to fund confidential therapy sessions for staff. At the Other clinic, this usually means the employer purchases a prepaid block of counselling and psychotherapy sessions, which employees can access privately through the clinic.
The employer agrees a session package with the clinic. Employees then contact the Other clinic directly to access support. The clinic manages the appointment pathway and keeps track of the number of sessions used. The employer receives limited anonymised usage information, but no clinical details.
Yes. Confidentiality is central to the service. Employers are not told who attends, what an employee discusses in therapy, why they are attending, or what the therapist thinks clinically. No clinical information is shared, and the integrity of the relationship between the therapist and patient is paramount.
Employers may receive basic anonymised package usage information, such as how many sessions have been used in a package, and how many remain.
No clinical information is shared with the employer. The service is structured to protect the privacy of employees who access therapy through the scheme. Any reporting to the employer is anonymised and limited to package usage.
This is something that can be agreed on a case by case basis with each employer, but EAP packages are usually based on six-session pathways. This means an employee may attend up to six employer-funded sessions, depending on the package agreed with the organisation. If further therapy is needed, the employee may discuss continuing privately with their therapist.
Employees can let us know any preferences, including therapist gender, appointment time, location, or online availability. We will try to accommodate these where possible. However, appointments are subject to therapist availability, and highly specific requests may increase waiting times.
This is a clinically focused counselling and psychotherapy arrangement. It is not a 24-hour helpline, occupational health service, HR service, crisis intervention service, or legal and financial advice programme. It is intended for employers who want to fund private therapy sessions for staff through an established Dublin clinic.
Appointments may be available in person or online, depending on therapist availability and the needs of the employee. In-person appointments are recommended where possible, as they tend to be more effective.
When the session allocation has been used, the employer may choose to purchase additional sessions. If an employee wishes to continue therapy after their funded sessions have ended, they may discuss continuing privately with their therapist.
Session packages are usually valid 12 months from the date of purchase.
Employers can contact the Other clinic to discuss the size of their organisation, the number of employees they wish to support, and the most suitable session package. The arrangement is then set up directly with the clinic.
