Low Cost Therapy Dublin

Affordable counselling and psychotherapy in Dublin for people who want professional support at a lower fee.

Let’s talk about it.

Low Cost Counselling Dublin

We know that the cost of therapy can sometimes be a real obstacle in an already difficult moment. Low cost therapy offers a way to begin speaking with someone without the financial pressure of standard private fees.

Our low cost counselling service in Dublin is designed for adults who want thoughtful, consistent therapy at an affordable rate.

Sessions are provided at a cost of €40 per session.

Sessions are provided by carefully selected trainee therapists who are undertaking postgraduate clinical studies, working within a professional clinical setting and receiving ongoing supervision.

As low cost spaces are limited, this service is intended for people who are under financial pressure and would not be in a position to afford standard private fees.

What Is Low Cost Therapy?

Low cost therapy is a more affordable form of counselling or psychotherapy, provided by trainee therapists, for people who want support but cannot comfortably commit to full private fees.

This service is intended to make therapy more accessible while still offering a serious and respectful clinical setting.

Many people come to low cost counselling because they are dealing with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, self-esteem issues, stress, loneliness, or a general sense that something in life is not working. Others come because they have wanted therapy for a long time, but the weekly cost has made it difficult to begin.

Who Is Low Cost Counselling For?

Low cost counselling can be a good fit if you are:

  • looking for affordable therapy in Dublin

  • unable to manage the cost of standard private sessions at the moment

  • open to working with a trainee therapist

  • looking for a regular weekly space to speak and think

  • wanting support with anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, grief, identity, or life transitions

For many people, the question is not whether therapy could help, but whether it can be made possible. A low cost therapy service can make that first step more realistic.

Note: If you are currently experiencing significant risk to your health or safety, therapy with a trainee therapist may not be appropriate. In these circumstances, support should be sought from a senior accredited therapist and/or your GP.

How Our Low Cost Therapy Service Works

Our low cost therapy sessions are offered by trainee therapists who have reached a suitable stage of their training and clinical development.

These therapists are undertaking substantial postgraduate study, receive ongoing supervision, and hold appropriate insurance and professional memberships.

Like all therapists at the clinic, they work as independent practitioners rather than employees, and are selected carefully by a practising psychotherapist, with particular standards of clinical seriousness, professionalism, and suitability in mind.

Low cost sessions are offered at a rate of €40 per session.

Therapy is never just about having someone pleasant to talk to. It is about having a therapeutic relationship that is approached professionally, where what you say can be listened to with care, seriousness, and thought.

We take care in who we bring into the clinic. We see low cost counselling as part of our wider commitment to making good therapy more accessible.

Low Cost Therapy vs Standard Private Therapy

The main difference is the fee and the therapist’s stage of professional development.

In our standard private therapy service, you are working with fully qualified clinician. In low cost therapy, you are working with a trainee therapist who is practicing within a supervised clinical framework.

For many people, low cost counselling is a very good starting point. It can offer consistent, meaningful support at a more manageable rate.
