We’re delighted to welcome two new therapists, Dr. Laura Tarafas, & Matthew Cormack to the clinic
Both of them have joined us in recent months at our Baggot Street location. Between them they’ve completed a staggering number of formal qualifications, and have worked in an equally impressive and varied range of relevant settings.
Laura has professional experience across several different health care settings: in psychotherapy clinics, in hospitals with psychiatric patients, in community-based projects, in the NGO sector as well as in international humanitarian projects.
Laura holds three Masters of Art degrees in Psychology (Developmental Psychology, ELTE), Clinical Psychology (Universite Sorbonne Paris Nord) and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (DBS). She also holds a PhD in Cross-Cultural Clinical Psychology (Universite Sorbonne Paris Nord).
Laura is a member of PSI, AIEP and APPI. She works under supervision and engages in her own analysis.
She is multi-lingual and offers therapy in Hungarian and French as well as English.
Matthew joins us with extensive experience working within private practice and also within organisations such as Pieta House.
He holds numerous formal qualifications within psychotherapy including an MSc with UCD/St. Vincent’s University Hospital, followed by a two year post masters training at The School of Psychotherapy, St. Vincent’s University Hospital. He also holds a degree in psychotherapy.
Matthew is a member of ICP, APPI, and IACP, as well as being a cartel member of ISLP. He attends regular analytic supervision and continues his own personal psychoanalysis.
